A space to be a student for life

We’re a curious bunch and we’re here to learn and grow. WeWork has a systematic approach to nurturing its people professionally and personally to become the best versions of themselves.

One of our key differentiators is offering our employees an opportunity to grow and develop skills that will help further their careers.

Our learning philosophy encourages each employee to be their career Protagonist and take charge of their career conversation and plan with their managers’ support. This helps our employees to think of their short, medium and long-term goals and help them create an Individual Development Plan.

Elevate, our flagship development program for People Managers is designed to support them as they transition from being individual contributors to people managers. This initiative also offers a separate set of programs based on WeWork’s leadership competencies for tenured managers - this is a crucial career transition as managing a diverse team requires a learning mindset and openness even from experienced managers.

During the pandemic, we launched a 'Further Education Program' to help employees meet their aspirations to pursue higher studies. We have given scholarships to 7 women (44% of the total granted scholarships) as part of the WeWork India Further Education program, to enable women to study while they pursue their careers at WeWork India

We have partnered with LinkedIn Learning and offer 8000+ e-learning courses to our employees. The total number of LinkedIn Learning hours viewed in 2023 is 507. 91% of employees have activated their LinkedIn Learning account and the average number of hours spent on the portal is 2 hours.

To identify our high potential employees and create a differentiated employee experience for our critical talent, we have rolled out the ‘Project You’ program. Employees part of Project ‘You’ are those individuals identified as high potential (e.g., future leaders), or high performers (e.g., highest rated employees through performance management) and therefore very valuable to WeWork India’s growth and profitability roadmap.

We are committed to building a strong and diverse leadership team that will provide strategic direction and inspire our people in the years to come. Our flagship leadership development program, Velocity for the Director+ population, was facilitated in partnership with EY by reputed business school professors and industry experts. This programme is yet another testament to our continued investment in our people, including our senior leaders!
